Every user interface should be designed for a specific target audience:

What is the position of people in the company?
Will the users be using the site for themselves or for someone else
How large is there budget?
Conducting Research
In order to identify my target audience and also inform the design to suit them:
- Page impressions - A request to load a single page on a website
- Unique Users - Number of individual users to a site over a defined period, often a month. This method allows
- Personas - Create characters based on the target audience and test the website using there persona.
- One on One interviews - Approach members of the target audience and see what their opinions are - good/bad
- Questionnaires
Why would they visit the interface? What is their motivation?
What do they aim to achieve?
Are they already aware of the content on the website?
Do they need specific information?
What information do the users need and in what order to achieve the goals quickly and effectively?
Idea Generation
Have the idea, write it down, move on
Frees experimentation - Step outside the box
Sketches, mood board, mindmap
Solution

Visualising Ideas
