Information doesn't have to be presented on an exel spreadsheet or block of text. In order to influence people, whether its the public or members of a business, the information needs to be visual and easily interpretable. Using graphs and piecharts are useful but I like how designers are pushing the presentation of information to make it fun and exciting to look at. It makes information enjoyable to read which is often better for focusing and remembering the information.
