OUGD503 - D&AD - Monotype - Street Market - FINAL POSTERS PRINT

In the digital print room, I got hold of some paper samples to decide whether to print on a heavy or thin stock. The weights range from 90gsm to 130gsm but in the end I decided to go for 90gsm recycled stock because it is very cheap and sustainable, an important consideration for markets as they are an economic and environmentally sustainable method of trade.

90gsm matt recycled stock makes them malleable and cheap to produce.

To keep the price down for me I printed onto A3. Although D&AD don't ask for physical submissions, I intend to photograph the posters outside and in the market context which will support my submission boards and can feed into the online promotional material.

Hung my final posters up to be photographed using a digital SLR:

Photographing the white stock on a white wall meant the posters got a bit lost therefor I intend the take them outside and photograph them in a raw environment to create contrast with the clean stock. Natural light would also benefit the photography.
