Every month Dublin Flea Market produce a new poster for their market. The designers give their creativity for free and in return they sell their designs at the market and give all proceeds back to them. I analysed the posters to determine their tone of voice as typographic compositions:
Gridded images of random subjects reflects the plethora of items available at the market. The vintage grain is complimentary of the old style. The almost careless typesetting for the title adds to the charming inconsistencies and some words are often are unique to markets:
Bizarre Bazaar
Bric-a-brac
What Nots
Emily Turner
High impact sans-serif is traditional due to the print marks which evoke the raw characteristics of the market. The consistent typesetting makes the composition highly legible.
