Considering my publication is being made to be sold commercially, I need to raise awareness of my publication so that I get people talking about it. To achieve this, I can take advantage of the internet by promoting my publication to bloggers and websites that blog about the creative field.

TypeToken
Typetoken is a new online magazine that asks you to join its journey into the symbolic world of typography. The site showcases, discusses and reviews the world of typography, icons and visual language. Already this is an appropriate website to send my publication to because they their main focus is typography.
The new book from esteemed New York Times Art Director Steven Heller and graphic design expert Gail Anderson. The Typography Idea Book: Inspiration from 50 Masters (Laurence King Publishing) includes examples of iconic typography and explains how it can be used as a tool to manipulate an audience’s understanding and reaction to a word, news story or advertisement.
The publication is predominantly image based so that the audience is stimulated by the examples of type.
The target audience for this publication is similar to mine because it demonstrates how acclaimed typographic designers from across the world interpret communication.
This site would be a good place to raise awareness of my publication by posting high quality images of my finished product and rationale to the website.

Arnolfini Bristol
Bristol’s Arnoflfini is one of Europe’s leading centres for the contemporary arts, presenting innovative and experimental work. Visitng the gallery, I noticed that numerous independent publications were sold in the shop, as well as an array of free magazines and flyers. This would be an appropriate location to distribute my publication if it was produced on a mass scale as my target audience would be likely to discover it. The high end price of my outcome will be suited to this location because I witnessed visitors buying expensive, well produced publications on the subject of art and design.
